Complete dog food - especially for growing giant breed dogs (adult weight over 45kg) - from 8 to 18/24 months ROYAL CANIN® Giant Junior formula has been specially developed to meet the nutritional needs of giant breed dogs during their second period of slower growth. This formula is suitable for growing dogs aged 8-18/24 months with an expected adult weight of 45+ kg. This adapted formula contains nutrients to support the growing giant breed dog during its second period of growth. ROYAL CANIN® Giant Junior formula offers an adapted protein content to support muscle development from 8 months to 18/24 months. The formula also contains nutrients such as vitamins C and E, with proven action to support the healthy development of the puppy's immune system. Giant breed dogs have a sensitive digestive system. A combination of beneficial prebiotics (such as fructo-oligosaccharides, manno-oligosaccharides and beet pulp) and highly digestible proteins help maintain a healthy balance of gut microbiota for proper digestion. In addition, the formula has precise levels of minerals, including calcium and phosphorus, to help develop strong, fast-growing bones. The crunchy kibble of ROYAL CANIN® Giant Junior is designed to encourage a slower rate of swallowing. This is important because very giant dogs need to eat slowly to reduce the risk of bloat. When your growing giant breed dog reaches 18/24 months of age, he will need food that is specifically adapted to his nutritional needs as an adult. At this stage, you can switch to ROYAL CANIN® Giant Adult formula.
